You will learn what it takes to put a tiny projectile precisely on a target several hundred yards away.  We have to take into account internal ballistics, atmospheric conditions, body position, sight alignment, sight picture, parallax, breath, natural point of aim, natural respiratory pause, muscle relaxation, trigger control, follow through, recoil recovery, all while noting max ordinate for the bullet's trajectory and accounting for the great equalizer...wind.

The rifle has been an immense part of our history as Americans.  It's an integral part of our heritage, and for some even to this day, it provides food on the table for a family.  In this course, you will learn Firearm Safety rules, rifle components and operation, ammunition components and types, shooting fundamentals, sling manipulation, malfunctions, and remedial actions.

During this course, we will build on previous experience with shooting while moving, engaging multiple targets, reloading on the move, and basic positional shooting.  In both basic and advanced carbine course, we will discuss and demonstrate tactics, application, context, and pressure testing.  You will leave each course with a better understanding of your firearm, more confidence in using it, and a game plan for continuing your training.

We are much more likely to be involved in an accident that threatens life, limb, or eyesight than we are a defensive situation where we have to use a weapon.  You will learn the basics of treating a traumatic wound, the MARCH principles and application, along with hands on reality based training with role players.  A Stop The Bleed training and certification is available as well. 

Fundamental and tactics are what win competitions and are necessary to establish a solid foundation.  During this course, you will be taught the Firearm Safety rules, handgun components and operation, ammunition components and types, shooting fundamentals, drawing from the holster, malfunctions, and remedial actions.

During this course, we build on previous experience with shooting while moving, engaging multiple targets, reloading on the move, and single handed shooting.

Just like with the carbine courses, tactics, application, context, and pressure testing will be discussed and demonstrated.  You will leave each course with a better understanding of your firearm, more confidence in using it, and a game plan for continuing your training.

The vast majority of self defense engagements are within 3-5 yards, but what do we do if the attacker is already inside of that very uncomfortable distance?  Ideally, we don't let it come to that through the use of conflict avoidance, managing unknown contacts, pre assault cues, verbals, and flashlight utilization.  We'll train live fire at arm's length along with reality based scenarios using airsoft weapons against role playing aggressors.  All participants will be wearing protective headgear.

I think it's fair to say that we spend a lot of time in our vehicles, so that begs the question: are we able to defend ourselves while we're in them?  During this course, you will be taught how to shoot from both the driver's seat and passenger seat (with a person in the other seat), the proper way to enter and exit a vehicle, and how to engage targets effectively from outside the vehicle.  We will also discuss basic vehicle ballistics.  

Being able to use a map and a compass to successfully navigate on the ground is a dying art, but still a very useful one.  Batteries die, electronics break, and cell phone reception is sometimes not available so having the skills could potentially be a life saver.
